Storage facility for non-palletised white goods

The ECE-STORAGE channel storage systems allows for fully automated picking and storage of white goods without the use of load carriers on minimum floor space! Not least thanks to the numerous advantages of the ECE-STORAGE system, we were able to acquire Gorenje as a customer who counts on the advanced high-bay storage system of BT-Anlagenbau for this demanding storage solution in Slovenia.

Gorenje uses utmost flexibility to be able to efficiently cope with fluctuations in sales and have storage systems in place which are optimally prepared for the future trends of their customers.

Thus, 140,000 units can be stored fully automatically,
with a storage & retrieval performance amounting to 1,980/1,880 units per hour.

The supply chain of Gorenje does not provide for any load carriers from production through to the end customer. The goods (refrigerators, ovens, etc.) are packed with polystyrene packaging and wrapped in film. Storage & retrieval and picking is carried out without load carriers. This is possible thanks to the advanced roll pallet system.

Coming from various production lines, the goods are fully automatically pre-sorted by robots for homogeneous storage. Retrieval is followed by fully automated picking in order to ensure optimum route planning.

One advantage of ECE-STORAGE is its design as a "capping concept", where the high-bay storage system is not set up next to the dispatch hall, but on top of it. This allows floor space and material handling technology to be saved in the pre-storage area.
