Flexible combined storage facility

With the ECE-STORAGE channel storage system, BT-Anlagenbau provided JT International AG with a future-proof storage system for various load carriers which is characterised by compact design and maximum energy efficiency. The MOVER used in this system ensures best system availability and maximum occupational safety thanks to the storage structure of the ECE-STORAGE channel storage system.

The integration of the new high-bay storage facility into production was an important criterion for the decision. The goods are moved between the production and storage buildings via the 140m long conveyor bridge, and fully automatically taken over and inspected.

The highly dynamic design of this ECE-STORAGE channel storage system with shuttles allows for a very energy-efficient handling of the pallets. Due to the masses only rarely being moved and energy recovery measures, the storage facility excels with its low energy consumption and therefore low operating costs.
The performance of the storage system is nevertheless impressive. 15,000 storage locations are highly dynamically served with a storage
performance of 64 pallets and a retrieval performance of 140 pallets.

The low operating costs are additionally reduced by low maintenance. The wireless MOVER shuttles have low maintenance requirements and are far from easily disturbed by bad pallet quality or an altered pallet base.

The storage of various types of pallets was a prerequisite for the customer JT International in Trier. Here, the 15,000 pallet locations may be used for EURO, CHEP or INDU pallets. The MOVER shuttle handles all these types perfectly.

The automated loading was implemented via 9 loading platforms. Even in case of failure, the goods can be loaded quickly thanks to the redundant dispatch solution. The spur lines for dispatch are designed in such a way that the goods can be taken off the ramps by forklift trucks without delay and loaded onto lorries.
