Thanks to the upgrading of the purification plant from SIMATIC S5-115U to SIMATIC S7-300 by BT-Anlagenbau, it was possible to achieve a performance increase from 16,000 p.e. to 22,000 p.e.! In addition to being future-proof, the new control system allows for considerable improvements in automation and in the acquisition of measured data!
Measured data acquisition and logging
The strict requirements of the permits relating to water quality demand a comprehensive and continuous recording and evaluation of measured data. Thanks to the upgrading to SIMATIC S7, this logging can now largely be executed fully automatically, which considerably reduces costs and minimises fault susceptibility!
Functional principle of the plant
The pollutants are removed from the sewage through the activity of microorganisms. This process is furthered by extensive mechanical processes and a perfectly preset automation technology. This allows for a degree of purification of at least 95% with carbon compounds, at least 58% with phosphorus and at least 70% with nitrogen compounds at a maximum flow rate of 220l/s.
