Pipe grinding system for the steel industry

BT-Anlagenbau was commissioned with supplying the entire electrical and control equipment of a state-of-the-art external cylindrical grinding unit for pipes with a diameter of up to 1200mm and lengths of up to 11m.

The tasks of BT-Anlagenbau include the complete safety equipment, planning, electrical equipment manufacture, programming and visualisation of the system. Upon completion of the delivery, BT-Anlagenbau was in charge of on-site installation, commissioning and training of the Chinese operating staff.

By respecting the highest quality standards and a tight schedule, all control, switch and server cabinets and control panels of various designs were manufactured, delivered and installed on site.

For the perfect implementation of the safety-related tasks, it was essential that the Chinese safety standards were met. Thanks to Safety Integrated, we were able to design all processes significantly easier and more safely.

During the trouble-free commissioning, the operating staff were instructed on how to operate the system. The system was able to achieve full capacity after a very short introduction period!
